Exactly my view. Under no circumstances will I carry anything with the hated ring of barbed wire. The 'ring' on my licence is covered with a Union Jack.
To illustrate in the private sphere: We lease a car - renewed every three years or so. With the oroginal contract, and when offered a replacement I always insist first, before the deal is confirmed, that the contract
will include a refusal to accept a car with an EU symbol on its number plate. The message was soon understood.
However it is not the licence per se that is at issue here. It it rather the bland acceptance by our governments, officials, DVLA, and numberless naive people, that the EU has some sort of self appointed authority or right to impose its own ideological stamp over free peoples - without any democratic accountability, except that of supine member state governments.
In every sense, on every document, on every 'rag of a flag', the ring of stars is as illegitimate today, as the hammer and sickle symbol. It is an arrogance and a pretension to power that is unacceptable.
Symbol it might be, but symbols represent power -
and EU power is itself illegitimate according to our Constitution.
