Ah, the old canard about being ruled by fax as per Norway. Rather the fax than the Whitehall civil service gauleiters.

I think we now have the flavour of next weeks speech. 'We will have a fundemental change in our relationship with Europe but I will try to avoid an in/out referendum as they won't like that in Brussels.'

Thank you, Dr North, for this transcript.

I see that Radio 4 has moved its comedy slot since the far-off days when I consumed BBC output.

I imagine the idea is to cheer up commuters by doing a Jim Hacker rerun in the breakfast slot before they start their daily ordeal.

I began to fisk the transcript, but I abandoned the attempt when I realised that a full analysis of the interviewee's rhetorical tricks, evasions and weasel wheezes would fill a book.

We had better start mugging up on those Euro notes and coins.
Please hold: your call is important to us.

Its something wonderful the sheer volume of permutations that Dave can wring out of "In Europe but not run by Europe"

But Rumpy declared today that the EU could get all it wants by way of "union" via the Lisbon treaty, and therefore no new treaty will be required. Ha! Where does that leave Cap'n Cameron?

The UK, just like the EU has scrambled an industrial counter revolution: http://climaterealists.com/index.php?id=10884 With 25% of the EU population descending in poverty the EU has failed.

Nice to know John Humphreys thinks we would be mad to leave the EU. Mind you I think it would be mad to listen to the BBC!

The skill of the politician. How can so many words have so little content and I don't expect the speech to have much more.
I wonder if J.H. was forbidden to mention article 50.

More waffle,obfuscation and naivete.

Quote:
DC: Yes, of course, and it is changing. There is an enormous thing happening in the European Union today which is the single currency, which we are not a member of and we're not going to join as long as I'm prime minister, is driving a process of change in Europe

A garbled a sentence as I have heard from him,but typical of his style.Cameron stumbles over his words, lacks clarity and seem to be targeting at a level suitable for a 12 year old.

Why is Cameron, making a speech setting out his stall for Britain, in a foreign country. why not here to the British people themselves, is he afraid someone will throw him a noose, along with instructions on how to use it.
