Taken a few days ago by my Emma the Artist, this beach scene off Carnoustie, just north of Dundee, typifies the glorious global warming we have all been suffering - you know, the one where we have warm wet winters and hot dry summers.

But that aside, there is nothing to stop us making the best of it and having a very merry Christmas - from me, Mrs EU Referendum and the family. We've enjoyed your input, appreciate your loyalty and look forward to another year in which we hope to inform, infuriate, educate and entertain, in equal measure.

But, for this one day, we wish peace and good will to all men and women - if only because it would take so long to list the exceptions that the day would be over by the time we got to the end. Normal hostilities will be resumed shortly.

Merry Christmas, everyone, and especially so to the good Dr North.

Best of luck to all of you.

P.S. The blog response is very sluggish right now. Too much mulled wine, or discarded brie nibbles dripping onto the relays? :)

Beautiful picture from your Emma! Thank you for this, and for another year of incisive, informative, wonderful commentary. And for the Hope of Harrogate. To you and yours, Dr. N: Happy Christmas and all best throughout the coming year.

Good wishes also to all who respond here.

PS: We'ave 'orrendous global warming here in subtropical FL --- 56.5F and very wet this morning ... but it's down in the low 30s most nights. I almost dared to imagine a White Christmas... but it'll not change now whil't moon changes, I guess. Cool

Merry Christmas one and all.

I'm at my daughters and had a few problems getting her PC working.

As a bit of an aside...

Has anyone noticed that Agenda 21 seems to have disappeared from the UN website?
