I had an early telephone call this morning from a friend who, as he was speaking, was confronting a man who claimed to be a bailiff. The man had planted his foot in the opening of his front door and was demanding entry, to enforce a parking penalty from Leeds City Council, now inflated to £340. To go into detail of this case is not necessary – suffice it to say that the so-called bailiff was breaking so many laws that it would take a pages to list and explain them. And we have done this issue to death, many times. View full article here

You've implied it, but I presume said friend successfully told bailiff to go do one?

Yes, good to get rid of Bettison. I thought his reason for going, that if he stayed it was a 'distraction' to policing, was one of the most pathetic attempts at spin I've ever seen. I suppose, unlike Simon Harwood, he's too old to pull the trick of coming back as a civilian worker? Gone and good riddance.

The Coventry Telegraph has been running a campaign against illegal balliff practices. Here and here. |
Nothing is impossible so long as everybody does exactly what I tell them. |
