Owen Paterson tells the Daily Mail about it.
The country is still borrowing £200,000 a minute, he says, then adding that "It's high time we Conservatives rediscovered the virtues of low taxation. Low taxes encourage effort, initiative and enterprise". We shouldn't be taxing ourselves out of trouble we should be growing ourselves out of it.
This is at the launch of his think-tank, UK2020, which will promote common-sense, small "c" conservative solutions to Britain's problems. The next speech is on 24 November, on the European Union the first Monday after the Reckless by-election. If his energy speech is any guide, we should be in for an interesting time.
