EU Referendum: who'd have guessed?

So, after all its previous hyperventilation, the Express is now conveying the stunning news that it may be two years before we have a referendum.

This is from Chancellor George Osborne who, unlike so many knowing pundits, does not see the UK holding the EU presidency in the second half of 2017, as "an obstacle" to holding a referendum as late as the Government legally can. He added that the Government were trying to negotiate new terms of EU membership for Britain "as soon as we can provided we het (sic) an agreement".

And those "new terms of EU membership"? This would be associate membership – aka "the British model".

I suppose we could say that the legacy media get there eventually, when it is handed to them on a plate. But if you really want to know what's going on, read a blog.
