Instapundit are mounting a "blogburst" to galvanise support for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Islamic extremists, meanwhile, are rejoicing in America's misfortune, giving the storm a military rank and declaring on Internet chat rooms that "Private" Katrina had joined the global jihad. With "God's help," they declared, oil prices would hit $100 a barrel this year.
Methinks expressions of solidarity with our American cousins would not go amiss. The
American Red Cross is accepting donations and Instapundit is listing alternative charities.
