Talking about distorting the debate,
England Expects has a delicious story about how the Brussels
apparatchiks re-wrote the new treaty with narrower spacing to make it look shorter than the original EU constitution. With fewer pages though, the actual word count of the new treaty is higher than the original.
Devil's Kitchen also picks up the story, if you can stand the obscenities.
