Hague and the Kermit foreign minister Alain Juppé met in London yesterday to discuss UK-France
surrender cooperation on Libya. The outcome is that Britain is prepared to follow the Kermit's lead and agree to a political settlement in Libya that would see Gaddafi remain in the country after relinquishing his hold on power.
Stunned by the news, incredulous crowds
queued impatiently outside Buckingham Palace to hear more details, while anxious passers-by snapped up copies of
the papers to find out more. And thus did a once-great nation slide into decline, given the run-around by a tin-pot North African dictator, the like of whom we used to sell by the dozen.
